NEMCo – Nuna Exploration & Mining Consultancy – is a Greenland-based advisory company founded by
Bent Olsvig Jensen.
NEMCo has been established to offer strategic and operational advisory services to companies, organisations, authorities and communities involved in or affected by project development in Greenland. The company is able to support work related to mineral exploration, mining, infrastructure, stakeholder engagement, government relations, community dialogue and Arctic project planning.
For international and Greenlandic companies entering or operating in Greenland, NEMCo can assist with local insight, stakeholder understanding, regulatory interfaces and the practical realities of working in an Arctic environment.
NEMCo can also advise local communities, NGOs, political organisations and public authorities on the opportunities, responsibilities and potential impacts associated with mineral resource projects and cooperation with foreign companies. Bent Olsvig Jensen
Founder and Principal
Bent Olsvig Jensen, founder of NEMCo, has more than 25 years of experience from living and working in Greenland across education, the fishing industry, logistics, project management, mineral exploration and executive leadership.
He has held CEO roles associated with two of the few mining projects that have reached operation in Greenland since the Greenland assumed responsibility for its mineral resources in 2010. In addition, he has led a successful Greenlandic service company providing turnkey solutions to several mineral resource projects across Greenland. These roles have given him extensive experience in company management, stakeholder engagement, government and community relations, operational planning, logistics and responsible project development.
Bent’s key strength is his ability to combine strategic business understanding with deep local knowledge of Greenlandic society and Arctic operating conditions. He is able to support companies, authorities, organisations and communities in building informed dialogue, constructive partnerships and responsible cooperation around project development in Greenland.
